Finding a hobby...

Are you in a routine rut? Do you carry out the same routine every day? It’s like “wash…rinse…repeat…” Sometimes when we get into these ruts we can find ourselves under stimulated or, for lack of a better word, bored. When we are bored we can find ourselves turning to bad habits such as snacking too much, sitting on the couch watching too much TV or even spending way too much time on social media. One way to combat these things from happening is to find a hobby. Examples of hobbies include arts and crafts, dancing, photography, knitting, hiking, biking, reading, learning new things to cook, gardening, etc… A hobby can increase the “feel good” chemicals in the brain and body as we find ourselves doing something fun and enjoyable. It can also increase our social circles and give us some well needed time with friends face to face instead of over a computer or phone. If you currently do not have a hobby it is about time to find one my friend. It will make your life much more enjoyable that is for sure.
